Hererometrius spinnifer is the giant rainforest scorpion and they are farmed in Malaysia for eating. Scorpions are arachnids with eight legs and a painful sting. Only about 10% of scorpions are deadly but there are no killer scorpions in Australia. The deadly species are typically brown, small, desert-dwelling and have very slender pinchers.
